Partner Churches
Area churches are the backbone of the chapter's
support in St. Peter, supplying volunteers, financial
support, and meeting and storage space. Currently, five
area churches are official partner churches with the
chapter:
• Church of St. Peter Catholic
• First Lutheran Church
• Kasota Presbyterian Church
• Trinity Lutheran Church
• Union Presbyterian Church
Becoming a Partner Church
Partner churches agree to
do at least one activity in each of the three categories
below for a period of one year.
1. Prayer
and Support
a) Pray for the ministry of Habitat for Humanity
b) Participate actively in the International Day of Prayer
and Action for Human Habitat on the 3rd Sunday in September
c) Spread the word about Habitat for Humanity's ministry
through the church bulletin and the newsletter
d) Promote volunteer opportunities in local and
international projects by inviting the Habitat for Humanity
staff and volunteers to speak at church
e) Form a group at church to study the programs the
denomination has to address housing issues
f) Bring the Habitat message to children and yourth through
educational and service programs
g) Other

Volunteer Support
a) Provide volunteers and/or organize work parties to help
build homes locally
b) Encourage church members to serve on the local Habitat
chapter's committees
c) Provide a liaison to coordinate the church's involvement
with the local Habitat chapter

Financial Support
a) Collect a special donation yearly (Habitat can supply
envelopes and house banks free of charge)
b) Organize a fundraising event for the local Habitat
chapter
c) Support fundraisers organized by the local Habitat
chapter
