Partner Families
Families work together with
Habitat for Humanity volunteers to build the houses. Each
family puts in 500 hours of work on their house, on other
houses, and on fundraising activities. When the house is
completed, the family purchases it with a standard 15 to 30
year mortgage from Habitat. No interest is charged on the
mortgage, which renders the house affordable to people who
do not qualify for standard bank mortgages.
